Nevis Lodge - Queenstown/Lakes

A couple of years ago, a gentleman from Auckland who would regularly come down and play with offroad racing buggies bought this place as a wilderness retreat. A multiple-thousand acre high country station only an hour from Queenstown, this place is all about the outdoors. More of a luxury villa rather than a luxury lodge, this place deals only with single party bookings. The buildings have been renovated to a high level, but the focus is more on the outdoor barbecue area, the fire pit, the music systems, the screen for watching sport. This place suits an active group who enjoy casual outdoor living. Our recommendations here are the buggy driving and the fly fishing. The place also supports our exclusive helicopter days, and we can bring in a local band to add to the atmosphere around the barbecue area. Only ten minutes by helicopter from the airport, but it feels like you're a million miles away, this is a nice alternative to luxury lodges in the Queenstown area.
