Outlying Islands
The outer Cook Islands are a nearly undiscovered treasure, something very rare in this world. We haven't been to all of them yet - this is on our to-do list for the next few years. This one here is Aitutaki the Cook Islands most picturesque destinations, with the most development.
The obvious island to go to is the very beautiful Aitutaki. It has been developed for tourism and is home to the excellent Pacific Resort Aitutaki and its award winning cuisine.
For clients who must absolutely have air conditioning, we would recommend taking a private charter with the most excellent Air Rarotonga and staying in Aitutaki, but going via one of the more deserted islands. They all have their distinct features but two frontrunners would be Atiu (caves, endemic birdlife, fun locals hosting a traditional drink) which is closer by and Manuhiki (black pearls - dive for your own) which is further. Air Rarotonga has a comfortable Cessna Citation Jet.
We're currently working on daytime packages to these islands as they don't exist yet. But they can come with a private chef who will jet out with you, and some fresh interaction with locals.
For those who do not need air conditioning, some of these islands have rentable accommodation.
